It’s easy…the better your property looks, the faster it sells and for the highest price possible. The more your house looks like what buyers are looking for, the more appealing it will be and it puts your home ahead of the competition.
If there are any “odd” issues, it will be a turn off and they will just go on to the next best home. Staging can help minimize issues that may turn off buyers and gives the impression of a well-maintained home. It can also help highlight the best features.
Staging is the use of marketing and decorating techniques to create an environment that is inviting to buyers and can make them feel like they want to live there. Staging helps buyers see themselves living in the house.
Some of the things we address when staging a home are, emotional connection points, modernizing a tired style, cleaning and repairs, depersonalizing the space, focus on lighting and color, emphasize the positive and downplay the negative, eliminating clutter, and making sure the first impression will be a positive one.
Some of the questions, to ask yourself:
1. How will a Buyer feel about this space?
2. What has been most recently purchased or updated in this space? How long ago?
3. Is the overall lighting dark or bright?
4. Will a buyer be distracted by anything?
Share some of your answers to these questions. I’m interested in knowing.
